Welcome to the Women’s Council, an affiliate of the Rochester Business Alliance, a great way for women in business, education and many other sectors of our regional economy to get connected to the greater community and to network for professional growth and success.
We are proud to sponsor two signature programs that are
representative of our mission to be a catalyst in the pursuit of
professional excellence. The internationally recognized ATHENA Awards
program honors outstanding professional women who have achieved
exceptional levels of business accomplishment, community involvement and
mentoring other women. Our honorees over the past years have included
a diverse group of women leaders who have made an extraordinary
difference in our community and in the organizations that they have
served.
The Young Women of Distinction
Program is aimed at recognizing the academic and community achievements
of our best and brightest high school women by providing internship and
college scholarship opportunities, and in so doing nurturing their
future success and potential as Athena Award recipients!
